Summer is winding down and fall will be here in no time. With seasonal changes and expectant cooler temperatures, you may be getting ready to push your bright colored spring and summer clothing to the back of your closet. Even though neutral colors typically work well in the Fall, don’t pack up your bright colors just yet. Pastels is one of the hottest trends for Fall 2014.
Everything from powder blues, pinks, and mints, was in heavy rotation on the Fall 2014 runways. You may be a little hesitant to attempt the pastel trend this fall. If you’re anything like me, you actually love wearing neutrals during the fall season. However, you don’t have to neglect your love for neutrals to rock the pastel trend. Here are three ways you can pair pastels with neutrals, giving you a classic fall look with a fun twist!
Pink coats were a big hit on the Fall 2014 runways. This look is stylish, trendy and feminine. Adding brown hues is a great way to tone down the look while still allowing you stand out in a crowd.
This is one of my favorite looks to highlight pastels in the fall. It is classy, chic and just flat out adorable. It features a little black dress, leggings, and powder blue accessories. This look is very versatile, as you can pair any colored pastel with a black dress and it will look fabulous.
This last look is perfect for a cold day. Much like the first look, it features brown accessories, which is used to tone down the yellow/canary. You can’t go wrong with these two colors, as they look gorgeous when paired.
As you can see, you don’t have to shy away from wearing pastels this fall. Paired with the right neutrals, your pastels will fit right into the fall season.
Let me know which look is your favorite. Also, what are some other ways you plan to style pastels this fall?
